What do I need to do to learn to scuba dive?
The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world's most popular diving certification and can be done over 3 days at Ocean Tribe in Diani Beach. There will be a pool session on the first day with 2 mornings out on the boat for 4 open water dives. Once you are qualified you can dive all over the world. you will need to complete a medical statement to make sure you are fit for diving and then you can earn your passport to the underwater world!
I don't have the time to take a course. What can I do?
There are two options. The first is the PADI Discover Scuba Diving Experience which will give you an introduction to the underwater world under the close supervision of a PADI Instructor but earning no certification. This takes a day. The other option is to complete your Open Water course over different periods as you have 12 months to complete the three days training, they do not have to be concurrent.
What is Freediving?
Freediving is the discipline where you are learning to explore the underwater world without a scuba tank on a breath hold. This course is excellent and vastly increases your diving abilities as well as enables you to get in the water at a moments notice, if you spot a critter you are interested in seeing.
